I’ve talked a lot about my dry skin but one thing I haven’t talked much about is dandruff. When the seasons change, it never fails to show up. And let me tell you, it is not a fun combination with my dark hair. In the past it has been so extreme that I didn’t even want to go into the salon to get my hair done because of the thought of my hairdresser being up close and personal to my hair. If you’re one of the unlucky ones that is a part of the dandruff club, it’s time to refresh your outlook! I’m here to share a few amazing products to help combat dandruff.

Re-Fresh Scalp Care Products to Help Combat Dandruff

There have been moments where I throw on a hat and call it a day, but let’s be honest that is not actually addressing the problem. Product wise it has taken me a few tries to find things that truly work for me. I put a lot of thought into the products that go into my hair and I’ve recently started realizing that paying attention to my scalp is a crucial part of hair care that is often overlooked! I’m sure you’ve heard of hair masks, but have you heard of scalp balm?

Ladies, it’s time to give your scalp a spa day! This is one of my favorite products to help combat dandruff. I absolutely love this RE-Fresh Scalp Care Coconut + Soothe Scalp Balm. Plus, it smells amazing. I put a small amount on my fingertips and massage it all over my scalp. I pay special attention to the problem areas when I do this! Then I throw my hair into a messy bun for 5-10 minutes before I get in the shower. It feels so good and my scalp feels rejuvenated after use.

Once I rinse out the balm, I use the RE-fresh Scalp Care Coconut + Soothe Anti Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner. This contains 2% salicylic acid which helps prevent irritation, dryness, and flaking associated with dandruff. The shampoo removes visible flakes while the conditioner leaves your hair feeling nice and smooth, creating the perfect combination. The full RE-fresh line is available at Walmart, and my favorite, the Pre-Shower Scalp Balm, is exclusively available at Walmart! You can order online or check to see if your local Walmart has it here! RE-fresh is made without parabens, dyes, or silicones (so it is gentle for everyday use), and the cute bottles are made from 100% post recycled materials.
