With Spring just around the corner, I thought it would be the perfect time to share about one of my favorite beauty procedures I have ever had done: Microblading eyebrows. I’m sure you’ve heard people talking about it, but what exactly is microblading? Microblading, also referred to as 3D brows, is a manual way of depositing ink in hair-like strokes into the epidermis to create a fuller semi-permanent eyebrow.
I had mine done at Bright Eyes Beauty LV and I am absolutely blown away! Not only has microblading transformed my eye brows, but it has made my life easier and my photos better!
This is what we were starting with. To be honest, I didn’t think it was possible to get my dream brow. Despite my doubts, I brought in photos of the brows that I really really loved as inspiration. Sarah from Bright Eyes Beauty LV immediately told me without hesitation that we could totally get my dream brow. It’s almost crazy to look back at what my brows looked like before! And to think I rarely even filled those babies in… yikes!
Why I chose to go with microblading:
I have always wished that I had amazing eye brows. Between years of over plucking and genetics, I just don’t have the brows that some people are blessed with. I wanted them to magically look fuller, have a perfect shape, but still maintain a natural look. It is also a major plus that these are semi-permanent eyebrows. Say I want to make a slight change next time (in all reality I never want them to change 😉), its no big deal at all!
This girl is the microblading eyebrows master! If you’re looking for microblading in Las Vegas, I highly recommend Bright Eyes Beauty LV. Sarah is a perfectionist, which is obviously a must when finding the right person to microblade your brows.
She created an outline of the shape I wanted, and the process began! Below you can see the outline that we created!
One of the number one questions I’m asked is is “does microblading hurt?” It doesn’t feel like a day at the spa, but I wouldn’t say it hurts either. She starts off by numbing the area with a special tool, which feels similar to plucking your hairs. Once the actual process beings, you can definitely feel the strokes, but I was still able to hold a normal conversation during the whole process.
There are two parts to the procedure: The initial visit and the touch up. After the initial visit, you will generally lose about 30-40% of pigment. This is where some people start to panic, but it is completely normal. The touch up is typically around 6-8 weeks after your initial visit, and is a slightly shorter procedure.
I absolutely love that my new brows really help frame my face, and make my “no makeup, makeup” routine on point! We just went on vacation, and my brows have never looked so good! No one wants to draw in eye brows when they’re headed off to the beach. Between sunscreen, water, and sweat, drawing in your eye brows can be a huge mess.
Keep in mind, many of the before and afters you see are immediately after the touch up has been done. This after photo is a TRUE after photo that is a good representation of after the healing process is done. In fact, this photo was taken after a sweaty windy hike in Mexico, and I have to say I think they look pretty darn good. You guys…look how sad my before photo is!
How much does microblading cost?
Sarah from Bright Eyes Beauty LV charges $550. I have heard of people charging as much as $900 for microblading in Las Vegas.
Why I chose microblading:
After researching the difference between microblading, powder fills, and tattooing, I knew microblading was the perfect match for me. Microblading is so natural that it doesn’t look like I have semi-permanent makeup on. It simply looks like I was blessed with great eye brows. In fact, during a recent facial the aesthetician was complimenting my eye brows. I told her it was all thanks to microblading, and even being that up close and personal, she was shocked that my brows were microbladed!
What is the difference between microblading, powder fill, and tattoo of the eyebrows?
Microblading: A manual way of depositing ink in hair-like strokes into the epidermis to create a fuller brow.
Powder Fill: Powder filled technique is used as opposed to strokes since the person already has eyebrow hair and often an overall eyebrow shape that is already in place.
Tatto: We all know what tattoos are. The biggest difference in my opinion is that they are MUCH more permanent. To be honest, I’m really not a fan of the tattoo eyebrow look. It just doesn’t look natural, the coloring never looks right, and it looks obvious that they are there.
How to I find Microblading near me?
It is really important to do your research. Don’t just find the nearest or cheapest person and schedule your appointment. If you’re looking for microblading in Las Vegas, I’ve made it easy for you: Sarah from Bright Eyes Beauty Las Vegas will make your brow dreams come true! If you don’t live in Las Vegas, make sure you see their work before hand! What I love about microblading is how natural it looks, so make sure you love their after photos. (I have seen some after photos where it is really easy to point out where the strokes are. You could also see what their past clients have to say about them.
How long does Microblading last and what does the fading process entail?
Microblading can last unto 18 months. It doesn’t just disappear in one day, but it gradually fades as your skin sheds.
Am I the right candidate for Microblading?
Microblading is for individuals who may have sparse brows, asymmetric eyebrows, no eyebrows at all, or are lacking a brow arch or tail. Microblading is not recommended for any clients with circumstances listed here.
Please let me know if you have any other questions for me and thank you Bright Eyes Beauty LV for making my brow dreams come true!
