The beginning of Fall is here and that means weather changes, fall fashion, and changing up our routine. Why not add a fun new hair style to the mix!? If you have frizzy hair, you know the slightest bit of humidity can completely throw your hair for a loop. Suave Professionals Lavender + Almond Oil line is free of parabens and dyes, infused with 100% natural oil and a scent that instantly makes me feel relaxed and smooths my frizz. Today I’m sharing a simple tutorial on how to curl frizzy hair! I’m so excited to share what has really helped me combat the frizz along with how I do my every day loose curls. Growing up in one of the most humid cities in the US, frizz is something I am very familiar with. Especially on days where I know I am going to be in humidity, I take action to make sure my hair can still look great throughout the entire day.
How to Curl Frizzy Hair
Step 1: Start with freshly washed hair. We can’t start a hair tutorial on how to curl frizzy hair without starting with the basics! I highly recommend Suave Professionals® Lavender + Almond Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. The scent makes me feel like I am at the spa and it is exclusive to Walmart until the end of the year. Be sure to head into your local Walmart to try it out! The frizz-calming lavender and smoothing almond oil not only smell incredible but they are magical on your hair. It gently cleanses & replenishes while reducing unwanted frizz. I typically wash and blow dry my hair at night, then style it in the morning. I’ve found that this simple step of waiting until the next morning to style my hair is huge in helping with the de-frizzing process! If you prefer to wash and dry your hair in the morning, that’s okay too! Just make sure your hair is fully cooled off from drying before starting this tutorial. I love having the confidence that my hair will stand strong no matter what the weather conditions are.
Step 2: Brush & Divide. Make sure your hair is thoroughly brushed out and smooth before the styling begins. You will be dividing your hair into 3 different sections to curl. Start off with the bottom layer of hair, near your ears.
Step 3: Grab a one to two-inch section of hair and place your curling iron behind the section of hair. I use a 1.25 curling iron, and this “How To Curl Frizzy Hair” tutorial can be done with a wand or a regular curling iron.
Step 4: Wrap away from your face and leave about two inches out on the ends. I like to open up the clasp of my iron and never ever close the clasp while my hair is on the curling iron.
Step 5: After about 5-8 seconds, carefully pull down on the section of hair removing it from the curling iron. Repeat until each section is complete! The two most important sections are the two pieces that frame your face. I always make sure to curl away from my face with every single piece of hair.
Step 6: Spray with your favorite hair spray and wait until curls are fully cooled down before gently running your fingers through your hair.
As you can see the curls appear nice, shiny, and frizz free thanks to Suave Professionals Lavender + Almond Oil shampoo and conditioner. I am a huge fan of the Suave Professionals line of products. Give it a try to see just how amazing the Lavender + Almond Oil Shampoo and Conditioner work on frizzy hair! Plus, it’s free of parabens and dyes, infused with 100% natural oil and a scent that instantly makes me feel relaxed.
