Sure, you guys see me in cute outfits quite often on the blog, but it’s no secret that I sort of LOVE to live in athleisure wear. Raise your hand if you’ve ever thrown on leggings and sneakers with no intention of actually working out…. Guilty! There are so many fun styles right now that I can’t get enough of that I almost feel like I’ve been buying more workout wear than regular clothing! Today I’m sharing a few athleisure trends that I can’t get enough of.
4 Athleisure Trends That Are Sweeping The Nation
The Sleeveless Jacket
I am so obsessed with this hooded vest! Pockets and a hood? Don’t mind if I do. It’s the perfect Spring piece and works great if you’ve got other places to be after your workout. It also looks cute layered during colder months with a tee underneath. I’ve linked to a few other adorable vests at the bottom of this post!
Where have knit sneakers been all my life!? I can’t handle all of the cute knit sneaks. Did you guys know that according to a study done by Forbes, 75% of athletic shoes purchased in the US are not purchased for their intended use. That means I’m not the only one who sometimes throws on a cute pair of sneakers with no intention of hitting up the gym! This athleisure trend isn’t going anywhere any time soon. Scroll to the bottom of the post for some of my other favorite knit sneaker styles.
High Neck Sports Bras
These are a game changer. Not only do they look amazing, I feel so much more confident in the gym wearing a high neck sports bra. I can do any type of workout move and not worry about the cleavage showing. I also love that If I need to stick my phone in my bra, it doesn’t fall out. It can be hard to find high neck sports bras that are actually supportive, but I’ve found that the Lorna Jane sports bras are my favorite. I have also tried Victoria’s Secret high neck bras, but they are not as comfortable and sometimes create a little side boob action- Something we definitely DON’T want when we’re trying to get our sweat on. (More high neck sports bras at the bottom of this post.)
High Waisted Leggings
I’ve experimented with high waisted leggings a time or two, and I’ve always kind of reverted back to regular leggings. The only reason was because I felt like high waisted leggings show the panty line, and it was so hard to hide. (TMI?) I finally found a workout underwear that keeps everything smooth and no-show. (They are seam free, sweat wicking, and run/yoga friendly. Since then, I’ve been on a high waisted leggings kick! They really hold in your core and smooth everything out better than mid rise leggings. Plus, the hubby loves that my booty looks extra good in them. It’s a major plus when the hubs is encouraging more leggings. 😉 (Keep scrolling for more high waisted leggings.)
