At the beginning of a new year, I always try to set some things to improve on. A big priority on my 2017 list is my skin. Sometimes people look at me like I’m crazy because I’m only 26. But let me tell you… I have had my fair share of skin damage, as have most people. Plus, does anyone else feel like once you have a kids the wrinkles start coming at a much faster rate!? 😉 Maybe it’s the lack of sleep, or all of the extra facial expressions I’m making trying to keep that baby boy happy. I’m a firm believer that being proactive about my skin will really benefit me in the long run.
You may have seen on my Snapchat or Instagram stories (@laurenjparry on both) that I had a facial at the beginning of this month at Illuminate Spa in Las Vegas. To be honest, I was quite nervous because I hadn’t had a facial in 10 years. Not to mention the facials I was getting were more of relaxation type facials rather than results driven treatments. Well, I have had SO many questions about where I went, the type of facial I had, how many I plan on getting, etc, so I thought I would write a post to answer all of your questions about Illuminate Spa.
I have some friends who were constantly getting Hydrafacials, IPL treatments, and peels. I looked into it quite a few times, but I just couldn’t justify forking out $150-$250 per treatment. Yikes. Then I heard about Illuminate Spa’s Illuminate365 membership. For only $85 per month, you can receive one treatment per month. This is honestly CRAZY to me because those treatments alone are $150+. If you don’t live in Las Vegas, I’m sorry to rub it in. This place is awesome!
My Treatments at Illuminate Spa
I didn’t really know where to start since I had never had results driven facials before. I started out with the Hydrafacial, which targets skin damage, fine lines, and wrinkles. My favorite part of the facial was when they used a vacuum type tool and were able to suck out all of the congested pores around my nose. I literally went home and couldn’t stop staring at my skin because it looked instantly better. It was not painful or uncomfortable at all. I left feeling like my skin could finally breathe again.
The next appointment I have scheduled at Illuminate Spa is for a peel, which will help improve the tone, texture and clarity of my skin. I’ve never had a peel, and I’m really interested to see how it helps out my skin.
After that, I plan on the IPL (intense pulsed light) Treatment which will help with skin pigmentation, sun damage and more.
That’s all I have planned for now. After that I will probably see what Illuminate Spa suggests for the next treatment. Don’t worry, I will keep you guys posted on my next few treatments over on Snapchat. (You can view all of the treatments that are included in the Illuminate356 Membership here.)
Look how adorable their Spa is! It is so peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful inside. There is a small snack bar, they have products to test out, and the women there are SO friendly and helpful.
