Buying this shirt brought me back a few years and gave me quite the laugh. A long long time ago, when I was in middle school, I was teaching my little sister the do’s and don’ts of fashion. When I was leaving for college I decided to go through my old laptop and clear it out. I came across a powerpoint she made full of all of the fashion rules I had taught her. One of the rules was “Never Ever Wear Plaid.” I thought it was so cute that she made a little powerpoint to remember the rules. Now we’re both grown ups and she is always dressed to a T. Everytime I wear plaid now I think of her and that powerpoint. One thing I love about fashion is that whats “in” is constantly changing.

I now consider plaid a perfect fall essential. It is a cozy look that can be dressed up or dressed down, and Sandra Ingrish makes the comfiest plaid shirts! You can’t tell with this outfit but they are the perfect length. Remember my black Vince Camuto booties I’m obsessed with? I bought them in gray too. I just love them and they’re surprisingly comfortable!
