It’s about time my most worn designer bag gets a little love around here! When I purchased this bag I had no idea just how much use I would get out of it! I actually went into the YSL store with a completely different bag in mind, and walked out with two. (Oops!) It was my birthday and I was in Hawaii, so with the Island discount it just felt right. 😉
I love the idea of belt bags, but they are very trendy. We’ve seen belt bags (fanny packs) circle in and out of style for years, and I typically go for classics that won’t ever go out of style. As I was trying on belt bags, a sales associate told me I needed something a little more petite. I tried on the YSL Kate belt bag and absolutely loved everything about it!
A few things I love:
The durability. It is so easy to keep clean, and it is a very durable leather that doesn’t scratch easily.
The size: It fits keys, lip gloss, my phone and cards.
The versatility: I can take the strap out and use it as a clutch for dressier occasions. I can belt a sweater dress to create more of a waistline. My favorite way to wear it is over my shoulder! It looks great with just about any outfit from workout clothes to dresses and jeans.
The hands-free aspect. Once your belt bag is on, it’s a part of your outfit much more so than a typical crossbody or handbag. There’s no swinging around or falling off your shoulder, etc.
The price. Relatively speaking, this is priced very reasonable for YSL!
