When I was pregnant with Michael, I almost cancelled our maternity pictures. I just wasn’t feeling up for it. You know… the whole getting ready and getting out of your pajamas dilemma. Brett convinced me to suck it up and they ended up being some of our favorite photos ever. Now whenever I hear of friends debating having maternity pictures done, I peer pressure them into doing it! This time I even went as far as having two different outfits.
I like to mix it up and do a few of just myself and a few with the family. One of the many perks of being a blogger is having so many great memories captured in pictures! The funny thing is, I’m not sure if Michael has ever been worse at a photoshoot. I honestly thought all of the family maternity pictures were going to be a bust. I really wanted to do them at Red Rock Canyon. (I always try to pick locations that will match our home.) I hadn’t really thought out how difficult it would be for my pregnant self to hike to different photo locations. Not to mention having someone hold Michael’s hand at all times because of all of the cliffs, etc. Once we arrived to our first spot, I realized I had left Michaels snacks in the car. Cue crazy wind and a crying two year old. We had SO much fun taking these pictures. 😉
Needless to say, I love how our maternity pictures turned out! Brionne from PhotoGraff Design did an amazing job once again!
I think it is so important to document pregnancy! You might not always feel pretty, but pregnancy really is so beautiful.
Maternity Pictures: Outfit # 2
I also decided to do some maternity pictures in this dress that I wore to my baby sprinkle! (See more about my baby sprinkle shower here.)
