Summer is here… can you believe it!? This is the least I have ever traveled in a year. We have gone on a few small trips, but man I am really in the mood for a big tropical trip! Between our home renovations and kids a huge vacation is not in the cards for us to do that right this second. (I’m thinking the big tropical trip will come right after all of our renovations are done because helloooooo credit card points!) We do have a few fun low key family summer vacations and outings coming up in the next few months to help get us out of the house while all of the construction is going on. Plus, we live in a town with some pretty cool things to do! I’ve partnered with Baby Jogger to give you a glimpse into our summer fun.
Our Fun Family Summer Plans
During all of our outings big or small, we love to take our Baby Jogger city mini GT2 with us! My three favorite features are:
- The compact fold. I have tried a lot of strollers and none of them fold as nicely as this one! It folds nice and flat, which is perfect when we are loading up a car full of suitcases, Pack ‘n Plays, etc.
- You can fold it with one hand! All you have to do is pull on the strap on the seat and it folds right up.
- The canopy. They are protected from the sun with the full coverage UV50 canopy with magnetic peekaboo, which really does offer so much shade!
Our Fun Family Summer Plans:
First Outing: Cannon Beach, Oregon. Last week was my first time here. To be honest we would probably never decide to go here if it weren’t for our friends but it was so much fun. We rented a beach house with 3 other families! Each of us has 2 kids so it was a full house. Stay tuned for a recap!
Second Outing: Southern Utah. Brett’s family is doing a family reunion, and we will be staying in a cabin in Southern Utah for a couple of days. Usually it’s my family who does a yearly summer get together for my grandpa’s birthday so it will be interesting to switch things up this year. We always loved a good cabin trip, especially because we went to college in Southern Utah. It’s fun to make a few stops along the way to some of our favorite places.
Third Outing: The dates aren’t set in stone on this one, but we tend to always make our way to Southern California a couple times during the summer since it is just a few hours drive from us. I have a lot of family there, which makes it extra easy to visit whenever we are in the mood for some beach time.
Lastly, playing tourist in our own town always makes for fun family summer plans. Las Vegas has so many fun things to offer from strolling the strip to really fun hotels and local brunch spots. I recently did a staycation with some girl friends, but I think when our flooring is being torn up we will make our way over to a fun staycation as a family. Navigating the strip can be a little chaotic sometimes. We definitely have our favorite spots on the strip that are more family friendly than others, but we still like to bring our Baby Jogger city mini GT2 with us since it’s so easy to maneuver while we are out exploring.
