After many questions about my health and fitness routine, I have finally created an ab workout video! Many people say that abs are made in the kitchen, which I can agree with. I’m all about the 80/20 rule: 80% clean eating, 20% splurge. In other words, I don’t feel bad about treating myself here and there. I do much better with this type of guide rather than strict lists of things that I can and can’t have, but that is another topic that I’ll save for another day. In addition to the 80/20 rule, I have an ab workout routine that I swear by. After being a gymnast for 17 years, I have really learned what types of workouts create visible results. Adding this 8 minute ab workout routine into your schedule a few times a week is sure to make a difference. Everyone has 8 minutes, right!?
I do different variations of this ab workout video about 4 times a week. It is typically the first thing I do when I begin a workout. You may need to build up to the full 8 minutes, and that is completely normal. The great thing about this workout is that once you have completed it a couple times, you can add some of your favorite exercises to make it your own. Brett and I typically do around 7-10 minutes depending on the day.
8 Minute Ab Workout Video
Alright, lets begin! Set a stopwatch, and switch exercises every 30 seconds for a total of 8 minutes. I use the stopwatch on my phone, which you will see me checking throughout the video. The key to this workout is to continuously flow right into each exercise. Do not rest in between each exercise unless you feel like you absolutely need a break. Get ready to feel the burn!

When you are working your abdominal muscles, slow and controlled movements can really help you feel the burn and see results. It is not always about how fast or big your movements are in this ab workout video.

The Outfit
It took me a long time to find cute, supportive, AND comfortable sports bras. I felt like most of them either felt way too suffocating, weren’t supportive, or were just not flattering. Then I discovered these sports bras, and I literally love the fit and feel of every single style. I recommend sizing down in them. I am in between a small and medium, and I wear a small in these.
A little trick: The padding inserts in these sports bras are removable, and they are unlike any sports bra padding I have ever seen. (Better than Lululemon’s inserts, and they don’t get bent up!) You can remove them to use in your existing sports bras, and I even like to put them in my unpadded swimsuits.
