Summer is full of fun adventures and sometimes we are out of the house all day long. That thought never used to even cross my mind but now that we have kiddos, being gone all day can sound like a recipe for disaster. Here are a few mom tips that tend to make things run smoothly:

Mom Tip #1: Lay out everyone’s clothes before bed if you know you’re going to have a busy day.

If I’m feeling ambitious I also pack our bags for the day ahead of time as well depending on what type of plans we have. I tend to get really flustered when I have somewhere to be and I’m trying to get the whole gang ready and out the door in time. This simple tip makes mornings so much more peaceful!

Mom Tip #2: Pack the snacks!

Snacks are KEY around here for both of the kids. Even if we are headed to a Summer pool party where I know food will be available we always bring snacks. I go on snack runs at Albertsons every other week and STOCK UP on things that are easy to store everywhere in the house, in diaper bags, beach bags, and in the car. Paige and Michael have been loving the Gerber® Popped Crisps with Green & Yellow Peas. I even put a few on Paige’s plate during meals because she enjoys the taste so much. (She is really into snacks that she can hold and eat herself!) A few things I love about Gerber® Popped Crisps: They aren’t super messy, it takes them a while to finish the bag, and they are made with real ingredients and are non GMO and organic.

Mom Tip #3: Nap Time Driving

Now I know a strict schedule is no fun in the summer, but I do try to plan out our days according to the kids nap routines when I am able to. If we have a drive somewhere I try to plan it around 1 or 2 when Michael tends to fall asleep. Paige typically naps in the morning around 10, so I try not to plan anything until after her morning nap. Well rested kids make everything go a little smoother, but at the same time I try not to stress out too much about sticking to an exact schedule.

I hope you’ve enjoyed these quick tips to make your Summer Days Run Smoothly! We are just so excited for all of the summer time fun ahead.
