Dressing Casual

I caved. I finally bought Birkenstocks. It’s safe to say I love them already, especially this tobacco brown leather color! They match just about everything and are the ultimate shoe for any casual summer outfit. Today I paired them with distressed white jeans (obsessed) and a buttowndown.

Dressing casual yet still looking put together can be a tricky task. Now that I’m in my ‘momiform’ most days, I love dressing casual more than ever. I want to be able to throw on an outfit, and not have to think about it again. No adjusting, no pulling things up or pulling things down throughout the day. Who’s with me!?

I think that having a lot of neutral pieces in your wardrobe that are easy to mix and match make a huge difference. A white tee, a neutral color crossbody, and jeans can go with just about anything. Layering is also a great tip to dressing casual. Tie your shirt around your waist with jeans and a tee like I did in this post, and you’re ready to go! Lastly, a simple piece of jewelry can make a huge difference. I’ve linked to some of my favorite basics below!
