I’m back from New York Fashion Week, and I had such an amazing time! A full NYFW recap is coming soon, but in the mean time I have been dying to show you this ASOS mini dress! It is the perfect Retrofete dupe. Retrofete dresses run about $615 and up. While I do love the look of them, I was determined to find a much cheaper option.

I came across this ASOS mini dress and it was by far the most similar option! In fact, one of my blogger friends, Mary of Living Lereve, showed up in the actual designer dress and the only main difference was the sleeve detail on the wrist. We took these photos in Dumbo and for some reason I was SO sick, and I feel like you can totally see it in my face here. I was literally running to get sick in between our photos. (Nope, not pregnant.) In fact, we all had dinner at an amazing restaurant after and all I could stomach was bread and sprite. I was tempted to cancel the pictures, but I haaaate cancelling on photographers and I really wanted to photograph this dress since there was so much behind the scenes work that went into finding this dress.
I paired this ASOS mini dress with black booties and a black bag to give it some Fall vibes. I love that the dress is shiny but still has a matte look to slightly tone it down. The coloring is absolutely perfect. It was honestly exactly what I was looking for for fashion week. It comes in a few other colors as well!
