We recently went on a summer road trip from Yakima, Washington to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho to White Fish, Montana to West Yellowstone. And while I loved everywhere on the list, I can’t stop raving about Coeur d’Alene. I hadn’t heard about it until about a year ago, and I don’t blame people for trying to keep this place a hidden gem. Where to Stay in Coeur d’Alene:
From the moment we pulled into Coeur d’Alene, this charming town had my heart. We debated the idea of renting a lake house, but we ended up choosing to stay at The CDA Resort. It was so perfect, and I can’t wait to plan our next trip there! Our room had a balcony which overlooked the marina, a fireplace, spacious bathrooms, and the comfiest beds. You can see all of the balconies in the background of the photo above!

Top Things to do in Coeur d’Alene: Golfing, Boating, Poolside
As soon as we checked in we hopped on a boat taxi (prettiest boat taxi I have ever seen) which took us over to the infinity pool overlooking the lake. The pool is located on the same property as the CDA Resort Golf Course.
Notes from Brett about Golf: The Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course is one of the most beautiful courses Ive ever played. The 18-hole course is scenic throughout but its signature hole is the worlds only floating green that floats in beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene and is only reachable by boat. The experience also come with a caddy and a back massage prior to tee time. If you have the opportunity to play, do not pass it up.

I highly recommend renting a boat. We rented a pontoon and a jet ski with our friends and it was a blast driving around, trying out restaurants on the lake, and checking out all of the incredible houses. There are a few celebs with houses on Lake CDA! Whether you’re renting a boat or not, I highly recommend Le Peep for breakfast or lunch! You can dock your boat and walk right up. The food was great and so was the view.

One of the highlights of staying at The CDA Resort was the location. When you step outside the resort you are in the heart of downtown Coeur d’Alene. There were so many amazing restaurants with incredible food, and exploring the cute local stores and ice cream shops was definitely a favorite of mine. The photo above was snapped when we took the kids to ice cream before heading out on a date night! Hence the pajamas. (Our favorite kids pajamas!)
