A couple weeks ago I went on a girls trip to Healdsburg, Ca! That’s right, a trip with no babies! It was my first time leaving both of the kids for more than a couple of hours since Paige was born. I had a blast and I am so excited to share a recap of my trip to the cutest little town in wine country.
Originally I was going to bring Paige with me, but at the last minute we decided it would be best for her to stay at home. Just me and my new Away luggage headed on our way! I forgot how easy it is to travel solo through an airport! I am completely in love with my new Away suitcase. I went with the large size in Asphalt. It has a lock on top with a ton of room inside. It rolls so smoothly, and came with a magic eraser that wipes way any little marks that happen during your travels. (I feel like I need the pink carry on now, which has a charger in it for your phone.) I also ordered these packing cubes (my new organizational obsession), along with this garment bag. The garment bag is a dream as well! It is so slim and very roomy. I’ve already used it on three different occasions in the 2 weeks that I have had it. Here, there are just a few sweaters and accessories in there, but this past weekend in Utah we easily fit a coat, a dress, a sweater, and Brett’s suit in there.
Things to do in Healdsburg, CA!
We stayed at Hotel Trio and it was great. The details around the hotel are so pretty, and I enjoyed every second of sleeping in their comfy beds without being woken up by my kids! The room had a kitchen, great lighting, a huge bathroom, and even had a robot that would bring snacks and ice to your door!
Things to do in Healdsburg, CA: The Best Wineries
Of course since we were in wine country, one of the most popular things to do in Healdsburg is wine tasting. As someone who doesn’t actually drink I probably had a different perspective of all of these places, but it was still really fun to hang out with the girls, snack on cheese, and explore the different wineries.
Matrix Winery: After a long day of traveling we headed to Matrix Winery. It was a rainy day, which was a bit of a bummer because they have a really cute outdoor set up including bocce ball and the cutest black and white umbrellas. (Hello, Instagram pictures!) Despite the rain, it was a great place to sit around the table and chat with all of the girls since we had all just arrived.
Macrostie Winery: We started off day two at Marcrostie, and it was absolutely beautiful. They even offered me some blood orange Pellegrino (sparkling water) which might be a new found favorite of mine. The charcuterie board was great as well. It was a really nice and casual atmosphere, and ended up being one of my personal favorites of the trip.
J Vineyards (sparkling wine tasting)
Mazzocco Winery: On day 3 we headed to Mazzocco before heading to the airport. It was another one of my favorites. It was stunning, and I really enjoyed the tour of their property. I definitely recommend Mazzocco!
I had so much fun with this wonderful group of women! We had good food, good company and so many good laughs together! I love spending time with other motivated entrepreneurs that are in the same space as me. From talking about our blogs to getting to know each other, I felt so refreshed and motivated for the new year. Special thanks to Lola & Ivy for planning such a wonderful trip for their clients. Here are a few other stops I recommend taking if you ever find yourself in Healdsburg:

Flying Goat (I finally tried oat milk! … love it.)
Willis Seafood (Order one of everything. LOVED this meal!)
Campo Fina (I had the braised chicken & polenta dish and it was delicious.)
Sandwiches at Dry Creek General Store (A low key lunch spot with great sandwiches, baked goods, and finally fun sodas for me to sip on!)
Moustache Baked Goods (cutest French macarons and cupcakes!)
Barndiva (We went here for lunch as soon as we arrived into town. We shared the goat cheese balls, a filet mignon burger, fries, and a salad. Everything was so good.)
