One of my favorite summer adventures is family road trips! Las Vegas is such a fun location because we’re not too far from the beach and we’re also very close to Utah! It’s so nice to have a pretty easy change of scenery. I have quite a bit of family in California, so we are always fitting in as many beach trips as we can! We just came back from our first road trip of the summer, and it was Paige’s first of many vacations. I feel like we’ve gotten pretty good at the whole road tripping with babies thing, and I can attest that a good car seat is an essential key to a successful trip. I’ll be the first to say it: my kids are not really “car seat kids.” There are a million places they would rather be than in a car seat. The first time I put Paige in the Baby Jogger City View to test it out, she just sat there with a smile on her face. She just hung out as content as could be. I couldn’t believe it! Coming from a baby who only loves to be held and cries the moment she is set down, I was a little bit in shock. This car seat is so nice and comfortable. It’s safe to say that our Baby Jogger car seat is “Paige approved.”
Aside from the comfort, the Baby Jogger City View has some really awesome features. There are 3 different ways to ride, allowing it to seat babies from 5 to 100 pounds! I absolutely love that this all-in-one car seat will transition with her through all car seat stages. (Rear facing, forward facing, and a booster.) The slim design of this Baby Jogger car seat allows for everyone in the car to travel safely and comfortably. It’s no fun being the one stuck next to a bulky car seat taking up part of your own seat on a road trip!
You may be wondering what the bar is near her feet. It’s actually an anti-rebound bar that adds extra protection when the car seat is rear facing by reducing rearward movement in the event of a frontal collision. As many of you know, my husband is a firefighter. He is so particular about car seat safety, and loved hearing about this unique feature!
A User Friendly Baby Jogger Car Seat
Handling car seats can sometimes make me nervous, but this one is a breeze. It is very user friendly, easy to install, and easy to transition if I choose to forward face the car seat for Michael instead of Paige. I love that I have peace of mind knowing that everything is set up perfectly and that my babies are nice and safe when we are headed out on our family adventures.
