You’ve probably seen that I went on a little vacation last week to Washington. We got back in town last night, and I’m so excited to share about our trip in a few days!

In the mean time, lets talk about Seven Magic Mountains:

7 Magic mountains is a beautiful art installation right outside Las Vegas, created by Ugo Rondinone. It is basically seven stacks of locally sourced boulders rising 30 to 35 feet high painted in bold bright colors. If you are driving through Las Vegas anytime soon, I highly recommend stopping by to check it out! It will only take about ten minutes once you exit off Interstate 15. (Find directions at the end of this post) The exhibit will be there for two years.

When we decided to shoot photos at Seven Magic Mountains, I wanted to shoot one colorful outfit and one neutral outfit because I wasn’t sure which would look better against the bright boulders. I had recently bought this dress and thought it would be so fun to photograph with the bright colors in the art installation. This dress has such a moroccan feel to it. Directions:

From Las Vegas: Follow I-15 S to Sloan Rd (exit 25). Turn left (east) to Las Vegas Boulevard. Drive approximately 7 miles south on Las Vegas Blvd. and the artwork will appear on your left (east).

From LA:  Drive north on I-15 to Jean, NV (exit 12).  Turn right (east) on NV-161 toward Las Vegas Blvd. Drive approximately 5 miles north on Las Vegas Blvd. and the artwork will appear on your right (east).
