The Super Saturday event for Ovarian Cancer Research Fund was an event for the books. The event was hosted by the one and only Rachel Zoe. To all of my RZ fans out there- she was even more amazing in person! If you aren’t familiar with RZ, she is a fabulous designer, stylist, editor, and Author. She is my number one fashion icon and I absolutely adore her. I had the opportunity to speak with Rachel Zoe at the event and will be sharing the answers to some of your chic mommy and family questions in Part II of my OCRF Recap!

The event kicked off with a VIP brunch at Barneys New York. After the brunch Rachel and her family walked the red carpet at the Grand Canal Shoppes. Rachel looked gorgeous in a bohemian top and skirt from her collection. As usual, she was decked out in arm candy and her fabulous gold rings. Her family was so cute. After the kids posed for a few pictures with Rachel and Roger (we’re on a first name basis… just kidding… I wish!), they  rode the gondolas over and over while RZ finished up on the red carpet. After the red carpet I was completely star struck as I had the opportunity to interview her! (See part II here.)

I was on a high the rest of the day and even bought some new Burberry sunglasses. They were part “I just met RZ celebration” and part half way through my pregnancy present to myself.

After the red carpet there was a book signing for Rachel Zoe’s latest book Living in Style. She told me she is about to start on a new book, which I am ecstatic about. PS if you need more RZ in your life and can’t wait for her book, her new show “Fashionably Late” starts in 3 days on lifetime! Her show will give viewers a weekly look at what’s hot and what’s not in fashion.

The fun transitioned over to Fashion Show mall where there was an incredible Saks fashion show, Pucker Up Bar, Canyon Ranch SpaClub pop-up spa, a Pepsi Lounge, Sephora makeup touch-ups, a temporary tattoo station, a fun Podo photo station and more. The highlight of the events at Fashion Show Mall was the Saks Fifth Avenue fashion show featuring top seasonal must haves. It has me inspired and ready for sweater weather. There were so many great looks on the runway. Here are a few of my favorites. All of these looks are available at Saks Fifth Avenue.
